I'd like to take this opportunity to share a little about myself. I was born and raised in Indiana and while attending Purdue University I met my husband, Jesse. In 1979 we were blessed with twin daughters, Brenda and Lindsay.
I arrived in Boone, NC in 1989 when my husband accepted a position in the Philosophy and Religion Department at Appalachian State University.
My girls adored the small town lifestyle and truly flourished in this phenomenal school system with the embrace of this great community. Brenda went on to graduate from Harvard University, Magna Cum Laude in Neuroscience, and Lindsay graduated from Brown University in Bio-Mechanical Engineering, the recipient of the university's Athlete and Scholar-Athlete of the year awards.
After graduation, both girls pursued professional athletic careers. Brenda was a 2004 Olympian, finishing 7th in the 400 meter hurdles in Athens Greece. Lindsay is currently working at Abbot Labs in California as a biomedical engineer, designing heart valves and other body parts. Brenda recently obtained her MBA from Wharton Business School and is currently working for McKinsey in New York.
As my daughters have stated many a time; "Moving to Boone was the best thing my parents ever did". I agree. Upon arrival, I went to work for a local real estate attorney and my passion for real estate was ignited. After successfully closing thousands of contracts and loans, performing title searches, preparing subdivision regs, estate filings, etc, I decided to become a real estate agent myself so I could effectively put my extensive knowledge and expertise of real property matters to work for you.
Buying and selling real estate in the mountains does not have to be complicated. My thorough understanding of contract and real property matters can make your buying and selling a breeze. I love what I do and can't wait to help you find your perfect mountain property!
