Having spent 20 years in both the Smokies and Blue Ridge Mountain areas of Western North Carolina, Rob embodies the "Mountain Man" spirit of our region.

While attending Western Carolina University, Rob was a 4-year letterman and team captain of the football team, received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Psychology and Counseling and  completed two years of graduate work in Child Clinical Psychology. Rob was a Student Senator for 3 years and is included in Who's Who in American Colleges and Universities.

For more than 20 years, the furniture industry was Rob’s professional focus, including sales, manufacturing, product development and sourcing while traveling extensively in Southeast Asia, Mexico and Brazil. Baker, Knapp and Tubbs, Hickory White, Vanguard and Ferguson/Copeland represent the companies Rob has worked for.

Rob and his wife Dell have been residents of this mountain community for over 18 years, raising 3 children and tending a small farm and orchard in the Blackberry Community. Extensive organic gardens, pressing cider, and lots of dog and cat "critters" keep Rob and Dell busy.  When time allows, Rob is hunting, fishing, and paddling the pristine waters of our mountain region. Rob is also a dedicated member of Blowing Rock Fire and Rescue and is currently serving as President of the organization and assuming both EMT and Firefighter roles in the department.

Residential land and acreage are a big part of Rob's listing activities while consistently producing multi-million dollar sales totals in all categories of real estate. With an ABR designation, specializing in Buyer Representation, Rob is well equipped to help buyers with a wide range of real estate investments. Rob truly loves these mountains and actively supports The Conservation Land Trust of North Carolina. One of the high points of Rob's real estate career has been facilitating land transactions with the High Country Conservancy to help create "Bear Paw" State Park and to add additional protected land the "Elk Knob" State Park, two very treasured destination in the "High Country".
